Prof. Naoko Ishii, the CGC Director, will participate in Global Summit 2022 and will give a keynote speech in session 2, “ On the road to Stockholm + 50, shifting towards circular economies with forests “.
The Global Forest Summit is a co-organized and co-funded event by Reforest’Action and the Open Diplomacy Institute, with the support of an Advisory Board composed of prominent experts.
As an answer to the twin-crises of climate and biodiversity, it urges the different stakeholders to accelerate action for forest protection, sustainable management, qualitative restoration and financing. With its ten-year ambition, and as a yearly global landmark for forest, this civil society-led initiative gathers high-level speakers from different sectors and backgrounds to discuss the progress and the challenges to meet the UN Global Forest Goals by 2030.
